Leslie Sacks Gallery is pleased to present David Hockney Big Tech, an exhibition of the artist’s homemade prints from the 1980s executed on an office color copy machine along side a group of his 21st century iPad and iPhone drawings. For decades, Hockney has experimented with the current technology of the time. In the early 1980’s he began making photographic collages with photos taken from a Polaroid camera. Soon after he followed with compositions made using fax machines and office photocopy machines. In 2008-09 he started making editions from drawings made on his iPhone and iPad. Hockney's constant curiosity and use of technology catalyzed new ways of seeing the most familiar and fundamental subjects.

This exhibition is in association the DNA Festival Santa Monica and concurrent with The Getty PST ART: Art & Science Collide.
